Cosmin is now 17 years old and has been in the care of Hospice Casa Sperantei in Brasov, Romania, for a few years now. He is suffering from Congenital Heart Disease and was in a serious condition when the Hospice took him under their care (pictured right). He needs to be in a wheelchair, but now has a much greater quality of life (pictured below) due to the physical and social care the hospice provides him and his family.

 Cosmin lives with his parents and one brother in a single room, and only his father works. Cosmin now attends the Hospice school with the other children and loves it there as he learns a lot. He is always very happy and has a great sense of humour. He is very popular with volunteers and visitors to the Hospice, and always remembered by them! 

Hospice Casa Sperantei give him reflexo-therapy from the physiotherapist, during his time in the in-patient unit where he stays so staff can control his life-limiting illness.  Cosmin always enoys the annual Holiday Club and gets involved in every activity, having a lot of fun and laughs in the process!
