Fundraising Administrator

Work Location: Office based at 11 High Street, Otford, Kent, TN14 5PG

Job summary:
We are delighted to be recruiting a new role to the Fundraising Team at Hospices of Hope. We are seeking a Fundraising Administrator who will support us deliver our portfolio of fundraising events and annual campaigns in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for either a young person looking to start their career and to learn about event management and/or the charity sector or someone looking for a local job that can fit aorund other committments whilst contributing to the vital work Hospices of Hope does.

About the team:
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will work closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Team.

37.5 hours across 5 days or 30 hours either 4 days at 7.5 hours or 5 days at 6 hours. Due to the nature of your work your hours weekly may be required to be worked across Sunday to Saturday to attend occasional events, etc. Your hours will be calculated from your outlook calendar.

£22,500K to £24K dependant on experience FTE

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Support the fundraising team in completing administrative tasks
  • Support the planning, organising and delivery of all Hospices of Hope-run events, including being a point of contact for all event enquiries; venue, supplier, exhibitor, and sponsor liaison and guest list management.
  • Support the development and productions of all event materials, physical and digital.
  • Represent the Fundraising team as required; including attending events when appropriate. This will involve some out of hours work.
  • Work with other teams within the Charity, including Finance, Data, Marketing and fundraising team in order deliver an excellent supporter experience.
  • Work with and support volunteers as appropriate.
  • Provide core administration support for example, maintaining accurate records using the charity’s database spreadsheets and systems and assisting phone queries.
  • Undertake specific projects that may be additional to the tasks detailed above as agreed with the Fundraising Manager and Marketing Manager.

Who You Are
You will demonstrate the following essential criteria for this role:

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and outgoing individual who is keen to help assist the Team to increase our income and fundraising supporter base in the UK. This role would suit someone with good coordination and communication skills and keen to learn. You will be given training on all our areas of fundraising and communications as well as training on our fundraising database. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Knowledge and use of relevant software packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work with volunteers
  • Ability to to meet deadlines, work under own initiative, in a busy work environment and as part of a team
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • GCSE standard in English and Maths essential and Further Education or equivalent experience.
