The Duchess of Norfolk visits our Moldova country partner
We were delighted that our patron The Duchess of Norfolk, Georgina Fitzalan-Howard, visited our Moldova branch this December. The Duchess was joined by our founder Graham Perolls, Trustee Rick Woodward, and Head of Retail Carolyn Perolls. The group participated in a small year-end meeting with the medical team and valued supporters, celebrating achievements and outlining plans for the upcoming year.
The Duchess, with her extensive experience in charity projects, joined forces with hospice supporters to contribute to discussions on achieving a more accessible, pain-free world for beneficiaries facing life-threatening illnesses in Moldova.
As part of the visit, the group attended the charity’s Winter Gala, themed around “A Christmas Carol,” and marking 15 years of palliative care development in Moldova. The event, attended by 120 guests, including ambassadors and representatives from diplomatic corps, international organisations, private companies, and hospice friends, celebrated the progress we have made so far.
Reflecting on her trip, The Duchess shared: “I am incredibly happy to have visited Moldova and seen the care, dedication and hard work that Hospices of Hope provides to its patients who live with life-limiting and terminal illnesses.”
