The Talking Gardens of Kent

A series of private tours and talks around three unique gardens in West Kent

Founder of Hospices of Hope, Graham Perolls, invites you to accompany him on a series of exclusive tours and talks in three unique gardens in West Kent. This rare opportunity will provide insights from each garden keeper/owner as they provide the tour and recount the journey of transforming these gardens into the extraordinary spaces they are today.

Thursday 25th April – St Clere Estate, Kemsing
Join Graham and the St Clere Estate Foreman Martin Platt to learn about his 26 years working on this 17th Century country estate’s gardens, including the kitchen and herb gardens, formal gardens and terraces and stunning views. Made famous as a location for many TV shows and films including Agatha Christie’s ‘Mirror Crack’d’ starring none other than Elizabeth Taylor. Relax after the tour with some refreshments like a true movie star!

Thursday 16th May – Reuthe’s, The Lost Garden of Sevenoaks
Join Graham and Reuthe’s owner, Claire Price, in exploring the magical 11-acre rare species woodland that hosts one of the country’s best selection of specialist rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and conifers. Finish your adventure with refreshments!

Tuesday 18th June – The World Garden, Lullingstone

Join Graham and the ‘modern day plant hunter’ Tom Hart Dyke, the creator of the World Garden and the 20th generation of the Hart Dykes to live at Lullingstone Castle, for a private and exclusive talk and tour. Made famous when he was kidnapped in the Panamanian jungle on a plant hunting expedition that went dangerously wrong, this tour and talk will take you all around the World and back again in time for tea!

Book Now
Tickets for each garden are available to book below at £25 per person. Alternatively, purchase to attend all three tours at a discounted rate of £60 per person. Tickets include the private tour and talk and refreshments. Each tour will begin at 1.30pm and will conclude by 4pm.
