Cream Tea with Dame Marion Roe DBE
Cream Tea with Dame Marion Roe DBE
Dame Marion Roe DBE has been a patron of Hospices of Hope for more than 20 years and has led an extraordinary life in public service.
Her distinguished career has included serving on the Greater London Council, entering Parliament as an MP in 1983, becoming an Environment Minister in Margaret Thatcher’s government, and chairing the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Hospice and End of Life Care.
Dame Marion has also travelled to Romania with Hospices of Hope, where she played an important role in helping achieve a breakthrough within the Romanian Parliament in support of hospice care.
As Dame Marion approaches her 90th birthday — though you would hardly believe it — she has kindly agreed to join our founder, Graham Perolls, for a special afternoon conversation reflecting on her remarkable life, career and support of hospice care.
Join us at The Olive Tree Bistro in Otford to enjoy a cream tea and hear fascinating stories and insights from a life dedicated to public service, compassion and advocacy.
