Bagpuss Bash

Celebrate 50 years of Bagpuss by hosting your own pink-and-white themed party or coffee morning in aid of the Bagpuss Children’s Wing, established 22 years ago thanks to a generous donation of Bagpuss’ pocket money from creator Oliver Postgate.

The exciting part – anyone who raises or donates over £50 by 12th March will be entered into a draw to win an unforgettable prize! An exclusive, original lino print by Peter Firmin, a meet-and-greet with Emily and Bagpuss at the Beaney Museum in Canterbury and as if that’s not amazing enough, they winner will also receive a limited edition Bagpuss crafted by Steiff in celebration of his 50th birthday and worth over £200. What a prize!* 🎁

But wait, there’s more… one lucky runner-up will receive a special Bagpuss commemorative plate personally signed by Emily!

You will be helping to raise money and awareness for the Bagpuss Wing in Brasov, Romania where children suffering from conditions such as terminal cancer, severe cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy receive vital care.

The giveaway will close on Monday 12th March 2024 at 11.55pm GMT. The winner will be drawn at random and announced Friday 22nd March. Please note that in the event that you are the winner, the date to meet Bagpuss and Emily will need to be agreed with all parties and travel is not included. The Steiff Bagpuss is in production and not available for shipping until April 2024. It will be sent directly to the winner when ready.

2. Schedule a date with family, friends, work or school colleagues to host your Bash
3. Send out personalised Bagpuss Bash invitations (included in the pack) or advertise your Bash using our poster template
4. On the day of the event sell tea/coffee/cakes, or ask attendees to make a donation
5. Pay in the funds you have raised by 12th March – donate them here
6. Keep an eye on your emails and Hospices of Hope’s social media to find out by the end of March whether you are the winner!
